Nederlands Instituut voor Mediakunst / NIMk
Corporate Identity, 2007-2012

In the identity for the Netherlands Media Art Institute we try to visually answer the question what is media-art?. Within the collections of images we look for features, cliches, shapes, themes or technical developments in the history of media-art in relation to a specific exhibition.
The identity of NIMk shifted in 2011 from our visual approach to a more bolder and raw one. Due to the outrageous cuts in the Dutch arts and culture funding NIMk's (worldwide) leading position in researching and representing all forms of media art will be destroyed. For this reason we now use the typography in more combative manners to emphasize this alarming situation.
